FAQ
- What is an FAQ?
- FAQ stands for Frequently Asked Questions. Next Question?
- Okay, what does RosterBot actually do?
- RosterBot lets you organize your teams easily. It does this by polling each player to see if they're coming to your next event and then showing you the results, along with some other bells and whistles, on a nicely-organized web page. It can even email you a summary of who's coming on game day if you like.
- That's cool!
- That's not a question, but thanks.
- How does it work?
- Simple. Enter your teammates' email addresses, and then enter the calendar dates and locations of your upcoming events into RosterBot. Our engine does the rest.
- Can I configure when it sends emails and stuff?
- Yup. RosterBot is very tweakable.
- How come I have to enter the address of my next event?
- Well, you don't really have to. But if you do, we try to provide a map to the location so everybody knows how to get there.
- How come you need my Postal/Zip Code?
- It helps us figure out where you are so that aliens can abduct you. Or something like that.
- Okay, fine. We don't really require it, but it is helpful for mapping and locating your team.
- What's iCal?
- Cal is a standard for Calendaring that lets you share Calendars with others if you use a Mac with iCal or Google Calendar. We're not really sure how well this works with Microsoft Outlook and/or Windows, but probably not very (their fault, not ours).
- Why is RosterBot free?
- Because we'd rather not charge you for using it. Instead, we display advertising that is (hopefully) relevant to your interests. If you'd like to support us, support our advertisers!
- Can I give you money if I really want to?
- Yes.
